The next monthly meeting will be at Tooleys on Thursday 11th September at 7:30pm. We will need to discuss our proposed activities at the forthcoming Canal Festival and depending on time, there will be a couple of short films one about a half size model of an ENV aircraft engine from the early 1900s and a driver training film for the old London-Banbury line.

The 16mm railway will be setup at Tooleys boatyard on the following Saturday mornings from 10am to 1pm: 17th May, 14th June, 19th July, 23rd August, 20th September and 25th October - also throughout both days at the Canal Festival 4th/5th October

BOILER TESTING & INSURANCE
Boilers are a fundamental component of some branches of model engineering. There is regulation covering the operation of pressure vessels and the Boiler Test Code allows the Club to appoint boiler inspectors to examine, test and certify steam boilers owned by club members and operated for hobby purposes.

Certificates are issued by the Club's boiler inspectors following a satisfactory, witnessed compliance with the Test Code relating to the specific boiler type being examined. Records of certification are held by the Club and the Federation maintains a register of boilers, their ownership and identification.

Compliance with the Test Code is a requirement for insurance purposes. Insurance is particularly important where operation is anticipated to be in the presence of members of the public.

For more information about boiler testing please email to: info@banburymodelengineers.co.uk but it must be understood that the Test Code only allows club boiler inspectors to conduct tests on boilers owned by members of the Club.
