BOILER TESTING & INSURANCE

The Southern Federation regulates and maintains records of all Boiler and Hydraulic Tests carried out in accordance with the statutory Boiler Test Code. Certificates are issued by individually accredited bolier testers at club level following satisfactory witnessing of compliance with the regulations relating to the specific boiler type being examined. These certificates are valid for one year from date of testing and are a requirenent for insurance purposes, which is particualrly important where operation is anticipated in the presence of members of the public.

ADAM McCULLOUCH MEMORIAL TROPHY

The widow of the late Adam McCulloch generously donated a trophy to the club to be awarded annually to the member whose model is voted as having most merit at the AGM. The trophy is held by the member for 12 months. The trophy was awarded to Mike at the 2007 AGM for his superb 5½" gauge 1500 Series locomotive.
